Terms of Service
Last updated: June 17, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of EcomPolicy (the “Service”), a website that helps online store owners generate privacy, terms, refund, shipping and other store policies. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
EcomPolicy generates draft policy documents based on the information you provide. The Service is offered as a convenience and produces template-based content only. The generated documents are a starting point and are not legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and confirming that any policy is accurate, complete and suitable for your business before publishing or relying on it.
3. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.
- Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Misrepresent generated content as professionally reviewed legal advice.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos and software, is owned by EcomPolicy and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you generate for your own store using the Service, and you are free to edit, publish and use those documents for your business. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the Service itself without our permission.
5. Third-Party Links & Affiliate Disclosure
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by EcomPolicy. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party sites. Some links on the Service may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you.
6. Disclaimers
The Service and all generated content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, legal compliance, or non-infringement. EcomPolicy does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm or a substitute for an attorney. We do not warrant that the generated policies will meet your requirements or comply with the laws applicable to your business.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EcomPolicy and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any generated content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us or third parties. You may stop using the Service at any time.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which EcomPolicy operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction.
